A complete hypnobirthing course

Birth, by the
light of the moon.

A complete hypnobirthing programme that helps you trust your body, calm your mind, and walk into your birth feeling prepared, whatever shape it takes.

What is hypnobirthing?

Not a trance.
A better way in.

Despite the name, hypnobirthing isn't about being hypnotised. It's a complete antenatal education, grounded in physiology, evidence, and centuries of women already knowing how to do this.

You'll learn how your body actually works in labour. Why fear makes pain worse, and what to do about it. How to breathe through contractions, how to soften when everything in you wants to brace, and how to make confident decisions about your own care.

It works for any birth: home, hospital, water, induction, planned caesarean. The tools don't care where you're giving birth. They care that you feel prepared, present, and in charge of your own experience.

Birth doesn't ask you to be fearless. It asks you to feel ready, and ready can be learned. The Little Moon approach

Body

Specific breathing techniques, body-mapping practices, and physiology you can actually feel, not just understand on paper.

Mind

Self-hypnosis, visualisation, and deep relaxation tracks that train your nervous system to stay steady when it matters most.

Together

A meaningful role for your birth partner: practical, specific and rehearsed. Not a bystander, but a co-pilot.

Try it now

One minute. Just breathe.

Breathing is the first tool the course teaches. Press the button, then follow the moon: in as it grows, slowly out as it softens. Long, easy out-breaths are where calm begins.

About Little Moon

Built by a midwife.
Made for you.

Little Moon Birth Company is the work of an NHS midwife with eighteen years of experience, and a quiet conviction that birth education shouldn't feel like a clinical lecture, or like a wellness brochure either. It should feel like a wise older sister who's done the reading.

We blend the rigour of evidence-based antenatal teaching with the warmth of a method that genuinely respects what your body already knows how to do. Six modules. Six weeks. A course that fits around real life, not the other way around.

The course is delivered as guided audio lessons and meditations, so you can learn while walking, resting, or curled up at home, and bring your birth partner along for every step.

Hear it for yourself

Press play. Breathe out.

The whole course is audio, so you can learn on a walk, on the sofa, or with your feet up at the end of the day. This is the short practice that ends the very first lesson. Find somewhere comfortable and try it: it takes less than three minutes.

Questions, asked and answered

Good questions.

Is this just for natural births?
No. The course is built for any birth: vaginal, planned caesarean, induction, water, hospital, home or VBAC. The tools are about your mental state and your sense of agency, not the physical mechanics.
When should I start?
Ideally between 20 and 32 weeks, which gives you time to practise the techniques so they're automatic by the time labour begins. Starting later still gives you tools you can use, even in the last few weeks. There's no wrong time, only the time you start.
Does my partner need to do the whole thing with me?
No, though we strongly recommend they at least complete Module 4, the Birth Partner's Role. Most partners end up doing far more once they realise how concrete and rehearsable their role actually is. The course gives them something to do, which usually solves the “I just stood there feeling useless” problem.
What if my birth doesn't go to plan?
Birth rarely does, and we treat that as part of the work. Module 5 deals specifically with how to make confident decisions when things change. Module 6 covers recovery and the emotional side of an unexpected birth. Hypnobirthing isn't about achieving a "perfect" birth; it's about feeling prepared for the one you actually have.
How does the course actually work?
It's entirely self-paced and online. You'll get instant access to 46 audio lessons, plus 12 guided practice tracks (breathing, relaxation and meditations) to use alongside them, and a downloadable workbook. Work through it weekly, take it in a weekend, or dip in and out, whatever fits. The practice tracks are designed to be listened to daily, so most people start those straight away.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, anytime. Monthly plans are month to month. Cancel whenever you need to: no calls, no fuss, no awkward conversations.
Is hypnobirthing evidence-based?
There's a growing body of research on hypnosis and relaxation techniques for childbirth, particularly around how people feel about their birth experience. The course is built on that evidence and on eighteen years of midwifery experience.

When the time comes,
be ready.
